In 2014, Murugan’s hard work led him secure a place in Limca Book of Records. Till then, he had rescued over 2000 people from poverty and beggary. He has been the prominent figure of rescue missions in Kerala, right from his late teens. His plan of action constituted finding the poor, sick and mentally challenged from the streets and relocate them to the safety of hospitals and shelter homes.
Theuvoram NGo is the flagbearers of humanitarian activities in Kerala. They have been striving to facilitate a safe haven to several thousands of homeless and elderly on the streets for the past two decades. The volunteers make sure people are fed, kept hygiene and given shelter to rest. They facilitate all that one needs to go ahead with their lives healthily and happily. Essentially, the means for Theruvoram to function come from kindhearted donors and wellwishers.
There was a time in Murugan’s journey when his rescue and rehabilitation ventures took a toll on his life’s safety. He was subjected to countless threats on every child rescue as most of these illegal activities were run by mafias and dangerous criminals. When he started his missions, presence of goons was immense all across the streets of Kochi. During one of his rescues he had to come face to face with evil men.
There are lives that make no mark on the face of the earth… lives possessing all the luxuries but never making any difference… lives that are fortunate and privileged, yet merely spent and sent to oblivion…
